My name is Tia Smith and throughout my career, I have immersed myself in the ever-evolving world of HR and talent strategy, culture, and employee experience. As a dedicated high achiever, I consistently pushed myself to exceed my own high standards. Every promotion, every new title, came with the responsibility to craft programs that delivered incredible employee experiences and ignited organizational success.

The gratification I found in curating learning opportunities and shaping corporate cultures was immense. But as my knowledge deepened over these two decades, so did my desire to share the wealth of experience and lessons learned with others.

Recognizing a Need

As I began presenting at conferences, speaking on expert panels, and publishing articles, a pattern emerged. Company leaders started reaching out, seeking advice and solutions for the cultural challenges they were facing. It became clear to me that there was a substantial demand for support in laying the groundwork for a thriving culture—especially within late-stage start-ups and scale-up organizations.

These leaders were deeply engrossed in driving their ventures forward, often at the expense of cultivating a robust company culture. The realization that culture could take a backseat during such critical growth periods fueled my passion even further.

At the helm of Ignite Consulting, Tia partners with CEOs and executive teams to design talent strategies and build cultures that fuel growth, strengthen leadership pipelines, and create workplaces people are proud to be part of. Her expertise spans the full talent lifecycle from acquisition and development to performance, succession, and employee experience, and she has led organizations through hyper-growth, cultural transformation, and major acquisitions.
